Charles E. Arnett, Jr., age 70, died Friday, November 11, 2011.
Charles was a member of the 1959 graduating class of Glynn Academy and was retired from Georgia Pacific. He was also a member of Glyndale Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Arnett; two children, Chuck Arnett (Cindy) of Jesup, GA and Carla Nelson (Jimmy) of Brunswick; three granddaughters, Ciera and Taylor Arnett and Shelby Brazell; and two step grandsons, Brandon and Roby Nelson.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 13, 2011 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at Glyndale Baptist Church with Reverend Ken Creekmore officiating. Active pallbearers will be Ken Arnett, Jr., Brian Morgan, Doug Flowers, Jeremy Herrin, Brandon Nelson and Roby Nelson. Honorary pallbearers will be retirees of Georgia Pacific, Deacons of Glyndale Baptist Church, Price McLain, Robert Manor, Gary Mallard, Dr. Abraham Chong and staff, and the staff of Hospice of the Golden Isles.
Interment will follow at Chapel Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles or to the Building fund at Glyndale Baptist Church.
