Just watched you in Bad Company, never have seen this movie before, not bad I might say. Too bad you felt you had to leave this earth, you were a fine actor and could have accomplished so much more. Rest in peace my good man.

"Give sorrow words; the grief that does not speak knits up the o-er wrought heart and bids it break." William Shakespeare; Macbeth. Shakespeare was right. Coming here every so often to write a tiny note of remembrance helps to free the heart. All of your friends, family, fellow artists and fans love and miss you. We are thankful that much of your work was preserved. Today it is still sought out by those who are familiar with your talents and also by those who have just discovered you.

Barry, You'd be happy to know that BAD COMPANY still plays. It's a timeless little western still watched by new and old fans. MOD SQUAD also has an ever expanding fan base. The original 1978 PIRANHA has become exactly the kind of cult "horror" movie you loved. When someone new discoverers your work, they want more of it and want to know more about you. When anyone checks you out on IMDb, they are amazed by the work you've left us in such a few short years. I miss you...and I miss our morning coffees. Wish we were having a couple of cups of coffee to celebrate your birthday today!!

Barry, you would be ecstatic to know that your legacy lives on. Friends, family and fans continue to enjoy your work. You're missed by everyone. I have the luxury of remembering our friendship and with that comes the happy recollection of your kind nature, brilliant mind and boyish grin that always made your eyes sparkle....and then for a few moments it is as though you are still here...and that makes me smile.

The Land of Long Ago -I wish I could have known you in the land of long ago;A place so very different from the land that I now know.I'd like to have been able to talk with you about such thingsAs philosophy and history; of great thinkers, and of kings. When I read about you, I was greatly thrilled to findThat not only were you talented, but had a brilliant mind.If only we could once have met within this place - the veryUnusual, Egyptian-styled Los Angeles Central Library. Not only could we have talked of deep thoughts and past events;Or discussed fine arts and music, savoring their excellence. There were some suggestions that I wish I could have made,As to certain characters in parts you could have played.I might have known scriptwriting, and had I been thus situatedOut in Hollywood, these were scripts I would have created:I would have written only about such men worthy of note; Those who penned sweet music, and those inspired, who wroteOf dark places and strange people; but also would be thereA scientist ineffable - the rarest of the rare. The lives of Stephen Foster, Nikola Tesla, and of Poe;These scripts I would have offered you, and surely, they would showThe emotional depth needed, amd the nuanced acting, too,And the power of the intellect for - an actor, such as you.I wonder: would such parts have changed your fortunes for the better?Life might have held more challenge; you could have shaken off the fetterOf unimportant movies, and gone on to be the rageOf period-piece PBS, and perhaps, the Broadway stage...But in life, our paths diverged; we never even met,I never got to talk to you - and that's my great regret.I never had the chance in life to ply my writing artTo craft for you what may have been a powerful, deathless part.A role that placed you in the spotlight, shining radiantly; But that role was never written - was never meant to beIn the land of long ago; now, in the land I'm in,I'll reverence your memory, and muse upon - what might have been...~Roberta S.
