Mary A. Anderson, age 90, of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2003 at the McAuley Manor Nursing Home in Aurora, Illinois. She was born on September 18, 1913 in Batavia, the daughter of Joe and Constance (nee Pavilauskis) Johnson. She was united in marriage to John Albin Anderson on August 20, 1940, in Batavia, Illinois.
    Mary was a devout Catholic and a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Batavia.
    She is survived by many caring friends, as well as many fine neighbors and former neighbors on Cleveland Avenue in Batavia.
    In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by a sister, Anna Johnson, and two brothers, Charles and John Johnson.
    Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2300 West Main Street in Batavia, where she will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of Mass. Fr. Daniel Deutsch celebrant. Interment will be in River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia.
    Memorial contributions in Mary's name may be directed to Holy Cross Catholic Church.
    Arrangements were handled by the Moss Family Funeral Home in Batavia.
