Mrs. Joni Grindstaff Chisgar, 22, of Thayer Road died Jan. 22, 2001, from injuries received in an automobile accident.
She was born Aug. 7, 1978, in High Point, a daughter of Vernon Lee Grindstaff Sr. and Sharon Hughes Gasque. She attended Trinity High School and was employed with Hillsville Family Restaurant. She was married to Dennis Chisgar, who survives of the residence.
Also surviving are a daughter, Hailey Blanch Grindstaff of the residence; a son, Tyler Scott Grindstaff of the residence; her mother and stepfather, Sharon and Alonzo Gasque of Trinity; her father; two brothers, Vernon Lee Grindstaff Jr. of Trinity and Jimmy Everett Hughes of Sophia; paternal grandfather, Vernon Bowman of Winston-Salem; and maternal grandmother, Kathleen Hughes of Sophia.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, by the Rev. Stan Savage. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home and other times at the residence of Sharon and Alonzo Gasque, 1275 Koonce Drive or Melva Spivey, Partridge Lane, Sophia.
