She was born August 6, 1901 in Syracuse, Utah, a daughter of George Henry and Eliza West Draper. She has been a resident of the Reno/Sparks area since 1927. She married Clinton Leavines Ashby, May 17, 1921 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died April 17, 1957. She married Aage L. Larsen April 26, 1967; he died November 6, 1982. Mrs. Larsen was a homemaker and seamstress.She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a choir director and held many positions including Relief Society president, Primary president, and YWMIA president She was a visiting teacher for over 65 years and served as a missionary for the church
She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Chapter president and continuous member of the Juniper Camp. She loved poetry and music. She wrote many poems starting at the age of four. Her family had a book of her poetry printed for her 80th Birthday.
Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Clinton D. Ashby, Alameda, Calif.; Lee C. Ashby, Huntington Beach, Calif; Verla A. Pask, Reno, Nev.; and Alice Corbridge, Sparks, Nev. Also surviving are two sisters, Ella Mae Smedley, Syracuse, Ut.; Leona Packham, Ogden; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 1, 1993, 1 p.m. at Linquist's Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 South State, where friends may call on Wednesday, one hour prior to services.
Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
