Edvard Johan Herman Olsen Boe was born in Norway in September 1851. His parents were Ole Sorenson Boe and Elen J. Sorenson Boe. He came to the United States in 1882. He filed his Declaration of Intention to become a citzen of the United States between 1882 and 1888. His final papers for citizenship were issued between 1897 and 1900.
Edvard married Martha Nicoline Ottensdatter in Norway in 1875. She was born in Norway in August 1850. They had no children together.
They farmed in Lee Township Sections 25 & 26, 80 acres in 26 and 40 acres in 25. They farmed there for approximately 25 years before moving to Thief River Falls, MN where they retired and lived in town.
Edvard passed away 15 Jan 1929 in Pennington County at the age of 71. Martha passed away 11 Jan 1933 at the age of 82.
