from "The Ameican Genealogist", April 1976, Vol 52 Page 76": He arrived in CT in 1635. He sold 30 acres of land on 1-11-1640. On 6-24-1647 he purchased land with William Thrall. In 1654 he moved to Farmington.
Robert married Elizabeth Stebbins about 1649 and they had two sons, John, born about 1650, died February 1697/98 at Hartford and Samuel, who was born 1652 and died at Windsor 3 August 1697.
He is on Hartford town records as "the first husband of Deacon Edward Stebbins' daughter, Elizabeth"; but, it is believed no gravestone remains to mark his burial.
