preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Arthur Albee on October 6, 2007, two brothers; Donald and Rodney Palmer; two sisters; Gertrude Chase and Garnette Berg∼Joye Palmer Albee 85, of Elgin passed away on Tuesday October 11, 2011. She was born on July 17, 1926 in Motley, MN the daughter of Charles and Amy (Patch) Palmer. Joye was a charter member of the Elgin Genealogy Society, a member of the Elgin Area Historical Society, and attended the First Congregational Church in Elgin.
Survivors include her two daughters; Jennifer (George) Bero of Elgin and Valerie Grand of Mankato, MN.
Three grand daughters; Julia (Jason) Smith of Urbandale, IA; Johanna (Robert) Smith of Fort Wayne, IN and Joye Stallman of Owatonna, MN. Three great grandchildren: Molly, Devin and Stella, along with many nieces and nephews.
