Obit - James B. ELmore, 83, of Rt. 1, Waynetown, died Sunday evening in Methodist Hospital at Indianapolis. He was a retired school teacher, having taught in the Pine Village School District for 37 years. He farmed on his family farm at Waynetown. He was a member of Alamo Christian Church, Montgomery County Retired Teachers Association and Alamo Masonic Lodge. He was a graduate of Alamo High School, Wabash College and Purdue University. He was born Oct. 9, 1910, to Albert M. and Lula M. Seits Elmore. On June 16, 1934, he married Ena Philpott. She survivies. Also surviving are one son, Robert, or rural Waynetown; one daughter, Phyllis Elmore Miller of Boston, Mass.; three sisters Margaret McClure of Crawfordsville, Edith Hauser of Ladoga and Ethel Boyle of Escanaba, Mich,; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lemoyne Snyder. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am Wednesday in Cramer-Shoemaker Funeral Home with the Rev. James Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Alamo Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be amde to Alamo Christian Church through the funeral home.
