THELMA PEYTON BENOIT, 74, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2003. She is preceded in death by her husband Norman A. Benoit, parents Russell and Grace Peyton and a sister Owena Dahl. Thelma passions in life were reading, music, art and child development and her loving pets. She is survived by her children Norman Thomas Benoit, Harold Benoit, Linda Ann Benoit, Richard Benoit and his wife Karen, and Steven Benoit; grandchildren Brandi Sherwood and her husband Michael, Christopher, Danny, Michael, Joshua, Jeremy and Matthew Benoit; great grandchildren Victoria Patrice Benoit and Kylie Louise Sherwood; sister Linda Sue Saleme and her husband Carmelo; sister-in-law Mable Gardner; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 9:30 am Friday September 19, 2003 Earthman Resthaven Chapel with a chapel service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Houston National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers Christopher Benoit, Danny Benoit, Michael Benoit, Joshua Benoit, Michael Sherwood, and Richard Kalmick. Honorary pallbearers Jeremy Benoit and Matthew Benoit. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2400 Augusta Dr., Suite 420, Houston, TX 77057.
