COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Hebe Allie Smith, 90, of Colorado Springs, formerly of Owensboro, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2001, at Mount St. Francis Health Care Center. The Panther native was a Baptist. She retired from May D.F. Co. as an interior decorator and had worked in Chicago as a telephone operator. Survivors include two sons, Ronald V. Smith of Ankara, Turkey, and James C. Alvey of Owensboro; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, William Dickens of Masonville. Memorial services are at 2 p.m. (MDT) Monday, Sept. 17, 2001, in Colorado. James H. Davis Funeral Home is handling local arrangements.
