NORFOLK - Eva L. Richardson, 83, passed away at home Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Eva was born on Tangier Island and raised on the Eastern Shore. She was the daughter of Marvin Crockett and Louise Crockett Nuttall. Eva is survived by her devoted and loving husband, N. Winston Richardson; beloved daughter, Valerie L. Costello; brother, Marvin Nuttall (Anne); brothers and sisters-in-law, Preston and Betty Richardson, Jack and Mildred Alford, Betty C. Richardson; and several nieces and nephews. Eva was a very active member of Calvin Presbyterian Church since 1960 until illness prevented her from attending. She was employed at C&P Telephone Co. for 12 years before dedicating her life to home and family. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today, June 3, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Richard Grice officiating. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com. The family wishes to thank Audrey Gardner of Angel Care Home Nursing and Bon Secours Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Mom.
