Louis Alan Hoppe, 35 of Albion, NE, passed away Monday, October 4, 2011 at his farm west of Albion.

Louis, son of Lyle and Judy A. (Hagemann) Hoppe was born January 31, 1976 at Albion, NE.

Louis was baptized and confirmed at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Albion.

He attended grade school at St. Michael's and graduated from Albion High School in 1994. Following graduation he attended Southeast Community College, Beatrice Campus, where he obtained an Associate's Degree in Animal Science in 1996.

Following his college graduation, he was employed by Christensen Farms of Butterfield, Minnesota.

In 1997 he moved back to the Albion area where he worked for SANDS Livestock, NPP, and was most recently manager at Nebraska Pig, east of Albion. He also enjoyed taking care of cattle and calving.

Louis met Kimberly Robins in Columbus, Nebraska, on December 12, 2003. They lived west of Albion and together have six children, Dylan, Allison, Louis Alan Jr., Witten, Chet and Mckenzie Robins.

At the time of his death, Louis was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He had a passion for hunting, fishing, gardening, canning and especially for his children.

Surviving Louis is his significant other Kim and their 6 children, all of Albion; parents: Lyle and Judy Hoppe of Albion; Kim's parents: Ray and Sharon Kucera of Rising City; three brothers: Pete of Omaha, Phillip and wife Tara of Park City, Utah; Dennis and wife Jill of Hastings; two sisters: Jill and husband Josh Nore of Albion, and Amy Hoppe of York; Kim's grandmother Marjorie Sliva of Columbus and a host of relatives and friends.

Louis was preceded in death by his grandparents Louis and Faith Hoppe; Al and Sally Hagemann; Kim's grandparents Anton and Mary Kucera; Ray Sliva.

Interment was in the Dennison Cemetery, rural Albion, NE.
