Emil H. DeWitt, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. J. DeWitt, of Claremore, was born Feb. 1, 1902 near Welch, Okla., and departed this life in a hospital in Chanute, Kans., June 22, 1933. He was 31 years, 4 months and 22 days in the journey of live. He was united in marriage with Miss Bell Beck on June 22, 1919, at Muskogee, Okla. To this union was born two children, Lyle Norman and Wanda LaVaughn. He with his wife and son moved to Tulsa in 1922 where they made their home until her death May 13, 1931. Emil was converted at the age of twelve in the Methodist Church in Chelsea, Okla. He was baptized in the Hillcrest Methodist Church, of Tulsa, Okla. He is survived by his son and daughter, parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. J. DeWitt, a brother, Estill DeWitt all of Claremore, a sister Mrs. C. D. Swope, of Tulsa, besides a number of near relatives and close personal friends, who are grieved deeply over his untimly death. Emil said he was ready to go and expressed what a wonderful time it would be when wer were unitedin Heaven. Those at his beside in his last hours here on earth wree his parents, both of his children and his sister. We bow our heads in humble submission to God's will. Last rites were held at the Methodist Church in Claremore. Services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. Golden Shook, assisted by Rev. L. C. Robbins of the Baptist Church. Interment was made in Rose Hill Cemetery, Tulsa, June 26th.
