Angeline Boersema, age 82, of Grand Haven passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011 at a local care facility. She was born March 17, 1929 to Martin and Minnie (Veldman) Buikema in Chicago. Angeline was married to Edward Boersema on February 9, 1949 in Berwyn, Illinois. Edward preceded her in death on July 27, 1993. Angeline moved here from the Chicago area and was employed by Spring Lake Public Schools in the lunch program. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and reading. She is lovingly survived by 2 daughters, Judy Wierenga of Grand Haven and Shirley (Larry) Lenz of Spring Lake; son Edward (Darlene) Boersema of Swartz Creek; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Martin (Gerry) Buikema of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her sister Grace Stob and 4 brothers Pete, Jake, Ralph, and Richard. The funeral for Angeline will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven with Rev. Peter Theune officiating. Friends may meet the family from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday August 30, 2011 at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven. Interment will be in Spring Lake Cemetery.
