Wyndi Deats CumberlandWyndi Deats Cumberland, born in Texas City, August 18, 1967, and passed away August 12, 2011, in Friendswood, Texas. Wyndi is survived by her two sons, Dylan Cumberland and Kody Cumberland, both of Alvin; her mother and step-father, Jane and Tony Gajewsky of Angleton; father and step-mother, Wyndell and Molly Deats of Dickinson; grandmother, Phraulene Deats of Dickinson; uncle David Coffee and wife Luanne of Pearland; aunts, Doris Burbank and husband Phil of Dickinson, Nancy McCall of Galveston and Maggie Sepulveda and husband, Xavier of Pearland and numerous cousins in the area.Wyndi graduated from Alvin High School and lived all her adult life in Alvin. Wyndi was a member of the First United Methodist Church and served as the church’s secretary for 15 years. She was a faithful volunteer with Empty Stocking program in Dickinson when Wyndi passed away, she was employed as secretary and camera technician at Keepsake Video in Friendswood for the last six years. Visitation for friends and family will be held the evening of Tuesday, August 16th, 2011, at the Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson (281)337-1515 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at First United Methodist Church, 200 W. FM 517 on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 3 p.m.The family respectfully request that in lieu of flowers, individuals may make donations in Wyndi’s name to the building fund at First United Methodist Church in Dickinson, to Dickinson Empty Stocking or a charity of your choice.
