Eunice Elaine Stewart Allgeier

SUNSET - Eunice Elaine Allgeier, our beloved mother, grandmother, wife and sister passed away September 2, 2011 after a valiant battle with lung cancer.

Eunice was born in Ogden, Utah on February 21, 1935 to Edson E. Stewart and Jeanne M. Searle. Eunice married Maylen E. Hebdon on October 5, 1951, with him they had three children. They were later divorced. Eunice met and married the love of her life, Donald M. Allgeier; they were married on April 28, 1979 in Sunset, Utah.

Eunice worked for Hill Air Force Base for 23 years as a small instrument mechanic until her retirement in 1987. After retiring she and Don traveled around in a fifth-wheel trying to decide where they would plant roots for a winter home. They finally ended up in Yuma, Arizona. Mom loved being down there. She often went with the ladies that she had made friends with to play her favorite game of Bingo. She absolutely loved it. She also loved all dogs, always having to stop and pet every dog she passed. She often said when I go it will be because God needs someone to take care of all the dogs in heaven.

Eunice was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

She leaves behind her husband, Donald M. Allgeier and faithful pooch, Peety; her three children, David (Nicole) Hebdon, West Point, Utah; Michael (Kimberley) Hebdon, Ogden, Utah; and (Brent) Shelley Burningham, Roy, Utah; four stepchildren, (Randy) Lizabeth Gish, Denver, CO; (Jay) Diane Waddoups, Denver, CO, James (Terry) Allgeier; Florida; Thomas (Charity) Allgeier, Denver, CO; 22 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Edson and Richard Stewart; one stepson, Donald M. Allgeier Jr. and two great-grandchildren, Tru Jake-Ann Sevy and Ester Amalia Cortez.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 9, 2011, at 11 a.m, at the Sunset LDS First Ward Chapel, 2431 North 250 West, Sunset, Utah. Family will meet with friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.

Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park, Ogden, Utah.

Special thanks to Hospice of Utah for helping the family through these times in need. Special thanks to Aubrie, Debbie and DJ.

In lieu of flowers Eunice would ask that you donate to your favorite animal charities.
