SOUTH PARIS -- Evelyn L. Culbert, 70, widow of Percival Culbert died Thursday at a Norway hospital following a brief illness.

She was born in Otisfield, July 15, 1899, the daughter of Frank and Alma Ricker Grover. Mrs. Culbert had been a resident of South Paris for the past three years and had resided previously in North Windham and Harrison. She was a former member of Harrison Grange.

Surviving are two sons, William of San Diego, Calif., and Gary of Boston, Mass.; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Tash Naples and Mrs. Pearl Hasty, Tampa, Fla.; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Simon Grover, Oxford; and four sisters, Mrs. Gloria Day, Harrison, Gertrude Barker and Katherine Dadmun, both of East Stoneham, and Esther Mains, South Paris.

DIED -- at Norway, Nov. 6, Mrs. Evelyn L. Culbert of South Paris. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the East Stoneham Congregational Church. Interment Hillside Cemetery, East Stoneham. Friends may call at the Huff Funeral Home, 21 Main St., South Paris, Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
