Born c. 1782. Son of Susannah (Mary) _____ and Edward Corder II. Married to Unknown c. 1803. Elijah Corder died of rattlesnake bite and is thought to have been the first settler to be buried in Burkes Garden. He died after taxes were levied in 1807 and before 22 Sep 1807 when it was ordered that his personal estate be appraised. Children: Elijah and Mary "Polly."

Gravesite Details

He is buried on the north side of Burke's Garden on land belonging to James Hoge. The sunken area of the grave is barely visible near the corner of a fence line.
