Barbara K. Woodard Collier 1927-2011 NORTH ADAMS Barbara K. (Woodard) Collier, 84 of 633 Barbour St. North Adams, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at North Adams Regional Hospital. She was born in Shaftsbury, Vt., on June 23, 1927 a daughter of the late Jesse and Mary (Cornell) Woodard. She attended schools in Bennington, Vt. She was employed at Ben-Mont Paper in Bennington, and later at Sprague Electric Company in North Adams, Mass. She enjoyed camping, gardening and traveling and was a winter resident of Edgewater, Fla. She also enjoyed the Boston Red Sox. She is survived by her husband, Raymond F. Collier whom she married August 27, 1965. Two daughters, Patricia Joly and her husband Raymond of Woodford, Vt., and Sandra Loomis and her husband Bernard Sr. of North Bennington, Vt. A stepdaughter, Margaret McDonald and her husband Steve of San Bernardino, Calif. Two stepsons, Paul Collier and his wife Beth of North Adams, Mass., and Bruce Collier of Adams, Mass. A brother, Edward Woodard and his wife Jean of Shaftsbury, Vt. Four grandchildren, Edward Bushee, Brian Bushee, R.J. Joly and Melissa Crawford. Six stepgrandchildren, Krista Dupont, Scott McDonald, Colleen Mineau, Katie Ploehn, Paul Collier and Hannah Collier. Predeceased by a stepgrandson, Matthew Collier and a brother, James Bell. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral Services will take place Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, Ma. Private Burial will take in the family plot in Southview Cemetery at a later date. Calling Hours at the Funeral Home are Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. Memorial Donations are suggested for the Vermont Chapter of the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home.
