Bernadette was born in Toledo, Ohio, to Christopher J. and Margaret (Bodzar) Hoffmann on September 27, 1932. She was a graduate of Waite High School and like her siblings, worked many hours at the Hoffmann Grocery Store. She was later employed at Doehler-Jarvis, Lamson's (Parkway Plaza) and Value City, Maumee.
Her parents preceded Bernadette in death. She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas; children, Margaret (Brent) Reed, Jenifer (fiance' Michael Rizzi) Bosch, Thomas and Patrick Bosch. She also leaves wonderful memories to her adoring grandchildren, Elizabeth and Peter Reed and Tiffany Rizzi. She is also survived by her siblings, Rosemary Stroud, Joanne (Louis) Steinbauer, Godfred (Sally) Hoffmann, Annette (Robert) Corey, Eugene (Mary Jo) Hoffmann and Mary Ann (Phillip) Schurrer.
At Bernadette's request there will be no visitation. A Mass of the Resurrection at St. Joseph Church in downtown Toledo, 628 Locust St., will be held at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3rd. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Arrangements by Coyle Funeral Home, 419-865-1295.
Memorials may take the form of a contribution to either Hospice of Northwest Ohio or to St. Joseph Church.
The Bosch family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Toledo Hospital and Hospice for their compassion and kindness during Bernadette's illness.
