Daty is my Granduncle AND my Cousin (6cou3r)!

He was inducted into the army at Cameron, Texas, on 19 Sept 1917 and was honorably discharged at Camp Travis, Texas, on 20 June 1919. He was a corporal in Co. H, 360 Infantry, 90 Div. During WWI, he was stationed at Graade, Germany.

Uncle Daty worked as an oilfield roughneck.

He died as the result of falling off a freight train.

There is some confusion about Daty's death date. The old family Bible and his tombstone give the date as Sept 29, but the Texas Death Index gives the date as Oct 1.
