FORT WORTH - Wilma Jean "Tootsie" Bland, 76, a retired credit manager for Texas State Optical, died Friday at a local hospital.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at Brown, Gause-Ware, Owens & Brumley Funeral Directors. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Wilma Jean "Tootsie" Bland was born June 21, 1920, in Tupelo, Okla. She did volunteer work for the senior citizens of Forest Hill and Helping Hands. Her interests were in raising her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and in helping others.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Cliett Mayes, two years ago.
Survivors: Husband of 57 years, Amzy L. Bland of Fort Worth; son, Amzy L. Bland Jr. of Fort Worth; daughter, Beverly J. Schroeder of Hurst; sister, Willie Harmon of Tupelo; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
