Dorothy S. Adams, 70 died on Saturday, July 8, 1995 at St. Mary's Care Center in Madison. She was born on Nov. 30, 1924 in LaCrosse, WI, the daughter of Harold and Dora Sherry. She married John C. Adams in Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1972. She was a former member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sun Prairie She was employed as a secretary for Dane County Social Services for 14 years, retiring in 1988. Survivors include her mother, Dora Sherry of Madison; two sons, John C. (Debbie) Adams of Lexington, IL and Tom Adams and his fiancée, Ruth Blewitt of Rio, WI; three daughters, Sherry Adams Riley of Ocala, FL, Barbara Adams of Denver, CO, and Judy (John) Engel of Appleton, WI; a daughter-in-law, Debra Adams of Sun Prairie; ten grandchildren, Seth, Jessie, Molly, Erin, Carrie, Jon, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Eric and Meagan; and a brother, Toby (Peg) Sherry of Madison. She was preceded in death by her husband; her father; and a son, Steven Adams. Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 24 at 2 p.m. at the Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace in Sun Prairie. The Rev. Lindsay Rhodenbaugh will officiate. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastside Group. Many thanks go to all her friends at Bill W., who were so wonderful to her.
