"Elizabeth Jane Elmy1867-1971 'Lizzie' and later 'Aunt Lizzie' as she was widely known was born at Sunderland, County Durham [now in modern Tyne and Wear], England. At the age of two she came to America with her family. She married Ben Bache in 1889. They had three children; only one, Carter Bache, survived. She played a major role in raising six grandchildren and a great grandchild. ... She lived to be 104."
