Dorothy Edna Aitken, 86, of Wichita Falls, died Friday, August 5, 2011.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2011, in the chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
The daughter of the late, Elizabeth (Adams) and Arthur Capen, Mrs. Aitken was born on February 10, 1925, in Glendora, New Jersey. She worked as a cook at Faith Mission for seventeen years.
Mrs. Aitken was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Elrod, a son, William Aitken, and her husband, James Aitken.
Survivors include: daughters, Patricia O'Neal of New Jersey, Kathleen Holmes of Wichita Falls; sons, James Aitken and Michael Aitken of Wichita Fallls; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and family from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at the funeral home.
