Doris Mae Allen, 67, Garden Lots, Lunenburg County, died Sunday, February 8, 1998, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Middle River, she was a daughter of the late Blanche Mosher. In her earlier years, she worked in the kitchen of Shirreff Hall of Dalhousie University, Halifax. She was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Lunenburg. She is survived by son, Dale and companion, Lorie, Garden Lots; grandson, Evan, and granddaughter, Sonja; stepson, Keith, Halifax; sister, Sandra (Mrs. Wayne Zwicker), Chester Basin; brother, Wayne Demille, Chester Basin; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Allen; infant son, Richard. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Lunenburg, Rev. Laurence Mawhinney officiating. Interment will be in Garden Lots Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ICU of South Shore Regional Hospital or St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Lunenburg.
