Anne T. Cahan died Tuesday, July 11, 1995, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind. She was on her way home to Florida with her husband when stricken.
She was born in Staten Island, N.Y., and lived in the Kankakee area of Illinois before making East Palatka her home for the past eight years. She attended Lawrence University at Appleton, Wis. While in Kankakee, she had been an advertising sales representative for The Daily Journal, a board member and water safety director at the American Red Cross, taught swimming for the Red Cross and was the first public relations director at Kankakee Community College. She also was a charter member of the Kankakee Arts Council, a board member of Dr. King Adult Education center, served on the bicentennial committee of Kankakee County and was a member of the National Federation of Republican Women. She belonged to Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She had also been a reporter for the Bourbonnais Herald. In Palatka she was secretary at Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist in Palatka, where she served as a reader, board member and treasurer. She was a member of the Palatka Mt.Laurel Circle Garden Club and Tillandsia Wild Flowers Club.
She was preceded in death by one son, Lee Daniel Cahan.

Graveside services were 11 a.m. Friday, July 14, 1995, at Limestone Cemetery, Kankakee.
