Betty was the daughter of William Terrell and his wife Susannah Waters Terrell, her christening is not found but she is thought to have married at full age. She married David Lewis in New Kent County in 1717 and they had eight children. David received the 1st patent west of the Rivanna River in 1734 but there would not have been a home for a time. Betty could have died in Albemarle but I might believe that she died in Hanover Town, Virginia.

A record says she was
"born" in the Freshes of the Pamunkey. The freshees are just north of the York River, just beyond where the Pamunkey and the Matiponni rivers split off from the York.

I wish the U of V archaeologists and geologists would do all our family's places and grave yards.

We send much thanks to our cousin, findagrave member, Terri Richards (#47595324) who contributed to research and our linking the family and we send her thanks.
