Don was born the son of Herman & Iva Crawford Wiederich. On December 2, 1972, he married Marilyn Dallman. Don made his home in Redwood Falls where he was employed at Central Bi-Products for years. he also did mason work at Sawatzke Masonry of Redwood Falls and worked at Redwood Concrete and Tile Plant. He enjoyed fishing & attending auctions.

Don is the father of Bonnie (Edward) Lowinske, Duane (Justina) Wiederich, & Kenra Hartson.

Don's siblings include Henry (Joyce) Wiederich, Butch (Ginger) Wiederich, & Shirley Baker. Don was preceded in death by six brothers & 1 sister, & a nephew, Randy Wiederich.
