Mrs. Smith, the daughter of Johnny Clyde Thomas and the late Betty Jean Kersey Thomas, was born in Swainsboro on November 29, 1954, and had lived in Jones County for the past twenty years. After graduating Southwest High School in Macon, Mrs. Smith dedicated her life to raising her family. She was preceded in death by her husband: Dwain Smith; and by a brother: Johnny W. Thomas.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her children: Kevin Hudson, Brian Hudson, Wendy Harden, Brandon Hudson, Troy Hudson, Tiffany Hudson and Casey Smith; father and step-mother: Johnny and Joyce Thomas; sisters: Barbara O'Donnell and Ruby Raymond; and by eight grandchildren, three nieces and two nephews.
