Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday at Prairie Rose in Harper.

Jim Monroe Tubb, 93, of Attica, Kansas, passed away July 22, 2011 at the Attica Long Term Care Center.
He was born June 21, 1918 near Rosston, Arkansas, son of George Washington Tubb and Lulu Arminda (Camp) Tubb.
Jim was apprenticed as a furniture maker in Arkansas and then worked as a fine cabinetmaker in Detroit, Michigan, until the outbreak of World War II.
On February 24, 1942, Jim enlisted in the United States Navy in one of its first Naval Construction Battalions. He served in World War II in the South Pacific until his honorable discharge on October 31, 1945 with the rank of Chief Carpenters Mate.
On August 10, 1946, Jim was united in marriage with Lillian Irene Weierich in her native town of Attica, Kansas. They made their home in Wichita, Kansas, where four children were born to them. Sixteen years later they moved to Colorado, where Jim worked in the construction business. Upon his retirement in the early 1980's they moved to Attica, Kansas.
Jim was a member of the International Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners, Local Union 55 in Denver, Colorado, and of the R. D. Ely Masonic Lodge, A.F. & A.M., in Attica, Kansas.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife Lillian; his son Bruce Tubb; his brothers John Tubb and Lonnie Tubb; and his sisters Jewel Tubb, Oleta Cash, Pauline Nyquist, and Callie Crawford.
He will be deeply missed by his children Belva Moler, Gary Tubb, and Philip Tubb; grandchildren Dane Moler, Mathilda McGee-Tubb and Cordelia McGee-Tubb; great grandson Ryder Marcus Moler; step-grandchildren Susan Chestnut, Christopher Curran, and James Curran; and step-great grandchildren Hunter Chestnut and Emma Chestnut; and by his sister Pearl Brown.
