Wonderful Man R.I.P.

A wonderfully entertaining man with a genuine flair who said, "The art of conversation lies not only in saying the right thing at the right time, but in leaving unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment."

Forget Me Not Flowers in memory of John Charles Patrick Croghan Daly. I've so enjoyed watching "What's My Line?" On YouTube. Mr. Daly has an urbane charm that so many broadcasters lack today. Values, values, values were his watchword.

John, what a remarkable man you were, I have wrote many of these, but this is the first time I am at a lost of what to say, I so admire the man you were, and wish only to have been old enough to have met you in the flesh, they often teased you on what's my line, about your long explanations, but I loved it, and rarely disagreed with you, a gracious man, who spoke so beautifully from your heart, and such a gentlemen, there are not enough kind words to say about you. I do everyday, and will continue to watch you on reruns of the show, and whatever else I can catch you on. God if we could have only found a way to bottle and preserve the men from your time, we would have a much better quality of life now. Thank you for the wonderful contributions you gave, and I will never forget you. Rest in peace.

Tribute and fond remembrance of the greatest [and most civilized] game-show host of all time: the irrepressible John Charles Daly. The show still holds up VERY WELL even 50 and 60 years later !

Your urbanity and charm made for some of the best television of the 20th century. What serendipity to watch "What's My Line?" on your birthday.
