Samuel Ewry was killed yesterday afternoon at his stream saw-mill, about a mile below West Point. One of his hands and himself were loading a large oak log, some three feet in diameter, on a wagon with a yoke of oxen. he was behnd wedging up the log on the skids. The chain slipped or broke and the log rolled back and crushed him to death instantly. The deceased was an old and espimable citizen and leaves a wife and several children and many relatives to mourn his loss.
