Sarah E. Allen, wife of William Allen, died at the family home near Christiansburg Friday morning after an illness of several weeks. She is survived by her husband, William Allen and six children: William Marion Allen, principal of the Van Buren township high school; Howard Allen, teacher at Pikes Peak; Mrs. Elma Allen, of this county; Etta at home; Mrs. Cora Williams and Mrs. Addie Morrison, of Bartholomew county.
Mrs. Allen was seventy years of age and lacked one day being married fifty years. She was one of the well known and highly respected women of Van Buren township.
She was a member of the Christian church at Beck's Grove. Burial was Monday at 11:00 o'clock at Beck's Grove.
