Betty Belisle age 78 of of Newburgh In passed away at 6:20 P.M. Tuesday November 30, 2004 at the Newburgh Health Care of Cancer. She was born May 3, 1926 in Hammond In. to: Kenneth and Margaret (Blessinger) Price. She married Robert Belisle February 14, 1952. He passed away March 12, 1995.

Margaret (Blessinger) Price was descended from the Blessinger family of Jasper, who settled there from Germany in 1838. Betty Belisle resided in Hammond most of her life.

Memberships include: former member of St. Clement Catholic Church in Boonville, member of St. Benedict Cathedral Catholic Church in Evansville.

She was a Quilt and Afghan maker, an avid History reader and Bird Watcher.

She was a secretary for the University of Chicago, she retired in Evansville in 1981.

Surviving: 1 son Dr. Mark Belisle of Evansville
2 Grandchildren-Sarah and John Belisle both of Evansville.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday December 3, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.
