The Galesburg Daily Register Mail of March 12, 1953 noted:
MRS. SHEDRICK W. MOSHER. ALTONA--Funeral services for Mrs. Shedrick W. Mosher, 85, of Victoria, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Johnson and Gill Chapel in Galva, where friends may call Friday evening. Burial will be in the Victoria Cemetery.
Mrs. Mosher died Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. in the Riesebleter Nursing Home at Altona, where she was admitted as a patient eight weeks ago. She had been ill for a number of years.
Born in England Dec. 5, 1867, Mrs. Mosher came to the United States in 1889 and located in the Victoria vicinity, where she resided most of her lifetime. She married Mr. Mosher June 8, 1895, and he survives. Mr. Mosher is a patient in Galesburg Cottage Hospital. Mrs. Mosher was a member of the Victoria Church and the community's American Legion Auxiliary.
Other survivors are the following children: Ervin Mosher and Mrs. Earl Briggs, of Victoria; Mrs. Willie Murphy, Williamsfield; Charles L. Mosher, Galva; Mrs. William McKay, and Lance D. and Wesley Mosher, of Rock Island; Mrs. Billy Smith and Mrs. Raymond Smith, of Laura; Mrs. Frederick Smith, Dahinda, and Mrs. Amelia Peve, East Moline. Another daughter, Mrs. Alfred Erickson of Galva, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Mosher also leaves a number of grandchildren.
