You are gone but never forgotten...........courtesy of Pat GobeaCARL A. HIBBARD, 71, of 132 Pain St., Athens passed away Aug. 7, 1989 at Robert Packer Hospital. He was born in Elmira June 21, 1918, the son of Ira and Nina Allen Hibbard. He resided in the Valley for the past 35 years. He was a retired casting inspector with the Ingersoll-Rand Foundry. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy in 1985 and a son, Alton in 1982. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Warren (Evelyn) Hall of Wyalusing and Carla Hibbard at home; one son, Gordon of Sayre; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Gerald (Georgina) Finger of Kingston, N.Y. and Mrs. James (Doris) Coleman of Johnson City, N.Y.; a brother, Chapman Hibbard of Nichols, N.Y.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the Lowery Funeral Home in Athens Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. The funeral and committal service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Thomas Henderson, pastor of the Moxie Community Church officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery. –Towanda Daily Review
