Helen H. "Weezy" Achenbach, 86, of Duncannon, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2011 in Stonebridge Nursing & Rehab Center, Duncannon.
She was born on July 21, 1924 in Duncannon to the late Elmer and Olive (Casey) Holland. She was a graduate of Duncannon High School and was the owner/operator of Holland's Flowers in Duncannon.
She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Duncannon, the Shermanata Grange and the Duncannon High School Alumni Association.
Surviving are her husband George D. Achenbach, a daughter Mary Jane Strayer of Duncannon, a son George D. Achenbach, II of Duncannon, a sister Mary Holland of Duncannon, her best friends Melody & PJ Roy, five grandchildren, two step grandsons and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Robert and three sisters; Thelma, Marion and Ruth.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2011 in Union Cemetery, Duncannon. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Duncannon.
Arrangements are being handled by the Ronald C.L. Smith Funeral Home.
