THE NASHVILLE TENNESSEAN Thursday Morning,Sept. 22, 1960

Centerville, Tenn. - George Franklin Barnhill, 80, farmer of the Gray's Bend Community, died yesterday at his home.
Services will be at 1:30p.m. today at McDonald Funeral Home with John W.Chessor officiating. Burial will be in Sullivan Cemetery.
Barnhill was a native of Hickman County, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Lee Barnhill. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs.Ruth Dorton Barnhill; four daughters, Miss Mary Barnhill of Nashville, Miss Fay Barnhill and Mrs. Georgia Boyd of Old Hickory and Mrs. Sue Hicks of Chicago; three sons, Douglas of Dickson, Arthur and James Barnhill of Gray's Bend Community; two sisters, Miss Pearl Barnhill and Mrs. Evie Fortner of Rte.1, Centerville; four brothers, Cheatham, Ben and Cord Barnhill of Rt.1 Centerville and Sid Barnhill of Arkansas; and five grandchildren.
