Funeral services were to be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon for Carl Engberg, who died early Sunday evening at the home of his brother George Engberg, at Sunbeam, with the Rev. O. F. Domeij, pastor of Messiah Lutheran church of Aledo, officiating. Burial was to be in Aledo cemetery.
John Engberg, of Milwaukee, another brother, arrived here last night to attend the funeral. Mr. Engberg was born at Vorduas, Sweden, on Jan. 23, 1862. He came to the United States from Sweden last May and went direct to the home of his brother in Preemption.
He first came to the United States in 1887, staying at Chicago, where he worked in a cemetery as caretaker. In 1923 he returned to Sweden, coming back to the United States last May.
