Annie Beise was born in Minnetrista Township on April 30, 1875. She was one of the seven children of Ferdinand and Fredricke Beise.
On March 13, 1896 at the age of 21, she was married to Frederick Rose. The two made their home at Lake Minnetonka on Halstad's Bay. Four children were born to them.
In 1907 they settled on a farm between Rockford and Delano, and in 1924 they moved to Buffalo. It was in 1941 that Mrs. Rose and her husband became members of St. John's. Her spouse passed away in December, 1951.
Mrs. Rose was a resident of the LaRie Nursing Home at St. Michael for the past eight years. During the first week in July, she entered the Buffalo Hospital remaining there until her death on September 2. She reached the age of 90 years, 4 months and 3 days.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Myrtle) Lamke of Pequot Lakes, three sons, Harry of Crystal, Erving of Rockford, and Elmer of Eden Prairie; also six grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted from St. John's Lutheran Church of Buffalo on Saturday, September 4, at 2:00 p.m., Pastor E. Berwald in charge.
The body was laid to rest in the Lakeview Cemetery of Buffalo.
