JUDITH MURRAYLYNN COLE ANDERSON passed away Sunday, July 28, 2002. She was born in Dallas, Texas on May 7, 1942. Judy is the daughter of Murray Maxwell Cole and stepdaughter of Mary Neal Cole of Spring Branch, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother, Zelma Reckley Cole of Houston.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Roy Morgan Anderson, daughter, Amy Leigh Anderson, and brother, David Murray Cole. She also leaves behind stepchildren, Leslie Marie Avioli, wife of Jim Avioli, Melisa Anne Johnson, wife of Gary Johnson, and Roy Murray Anderson, husband of Gay Anderson, and grandchildren, Justin and Mark Avioli, Lindsey and Kelsey Johnson, and Clayton and Eric Anderson.

Judy was a 1960 graduate of Jesse H. Jones High School in Houston, and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1965 with a degree in Home Economics Teacher Education. She began work as a lab technician at Riviana Foods and left her final position there as Manager, Consumer Relations and Publicity in 1980. She briefly worked at Metzdorf Advertising before acquiring her father's printing business, Dataware. For over 20 years, she has served as President and CEO of Dataware, a company that manufactures labels for computer libraries. Its products are now used in all sizes of data centers around the world.

Judy was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Bellaire. She served on the Board of Outreach and was a member of the Church Council. She started a popular dinner club called Faithful Feasters that met monthly at various members' homes. Recently she had become a leader in Stephen Ministries, a care-giving support group for those in crisis. Though she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all that knew and loved her, she is now at peace and with our Lord.

Friends were invited to visitation with the family on Tuesday, July 30, 2002 from 6:00 until 7:30 P.M. at The Settegast-Kopf Co., 3320 Kirby Drive. A funeral service was held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 31, 2002 at Faith Lutheran Church, 4600 Bellaire Blvd., with Pastor Herbert Palmer and Pastor Cindy Beck officiating.
Interment followed in Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be directed to Faith House at Faith Lutheran Church, 4600 Bellaire Blvd, Bellaire, Texas 77401.
