It is with profound regret that we chronicle the death of Mrs. M.P. Barringer, which sad event occurred in this city, at the residence of her son-in-law, Dr. Byron Lemly, on Tuesday last. Deceased was about 60 years of age, and had resided in Jackson for a little over a year. Her death is mourned by a large circle of devoted friends in Jackson, and in Oxford, her former home. The remains were taken to Oxford Tuesday night, to be interred in the cemetery in that place.
