Final rites for Mrs. Eva Lillian Bane, 83, of Rusk were to be at 2 p.m. Teusday in the Wallace-Thompson funeral chapel with the Rev. Grover Talbert and the Rev. Gene Kendrick officiating. Burial was to be in the Laneville city cemetery.
Mrs. Bane died Monday afternoon in Rusk Memorial hospital following a long illness.
A native of Laneville, she had resided in Rusk for 51 years and was a member of the Rusk First Baptist Church. She was a retired school teacher, having taught at Ponta and Laneville. She also was a former Rusk State hospital employe.
Survivors are one son, Brent bane of Pasadena; two daughters, Mrs. Oleta Avara of tyler and Mrs Nelwyn Todd of Alto; a sister, Mrs. Allie Jackson of Austwell; a brother, Clifford Needham of Houston and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Roger Jackson, Phil Darby, John Craddock, Ray Todd Jr., Jerry Todd and Jimmie bane.
