Politics hasn't changed. They needed to blame someone so they blamed you. They were wrong and history does prove that. Most people today don't remember Pearl Harbor. I do and always will.A fine sailor you were.

Admiral, you got a bad rap...not the first fine officer the US has persecuted to cover higher stupididy [Fitz John Porter comes to mind], and not the last. For what it's worth, I apologize. Rest Well, Sir. Thank You.

Admiral, the treatment of you and General Short was shameful. Had you two been given the proper intelligence and had others been paying attention the attack may not have taken place. As a former Navy Corpsman I salute you sir. May you rest in peace with full honors and may God bless.

Rear Admiral Kimmel, you were a capable professional who had the misfortune of being labled a scapegoat in the aftermath of the Japanese attack on the Pacific Fleet. Consequently, you were relieved and subsequently retired as a permanent Rear Admiral after losing your temporary grade of Full Admiral. I wish you well, and trust that you had a joyful reunion with your Son who was killed during the war. Rest easy.
