GREENSBORO, NC - Mr. Johnny Harrison Street, 62, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Wesley Long Hospital.
Mr. Street was born on January 12, 1949 in McDowell County.
He was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy.
Johnny loved sports and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He loved his collections and his many backyard cookouts with his family. Johnny was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by parents, Elbert and Joan King Street, and son, Brady Street.
Survivors include his wife and eternal soulmate, Debbie; daughter, Tonya Lawson (Eric) of Trinity; sons, Brian Street (Elizabeth) of Reidsville, Rick Lanier (Erica) of Asheboro, Derek Street (Nikki) of Charleston, SC; sister, Linda Marsh (Randy) of Greensboro; "brother", Elmer Street (Penney) of Kernersville; grandchildren, Spencer Street, Lee Lawson, Cole Lawson, and nephews, James and Tim Edwards.
Johnny's wishes were to have no services.
Forbis & Dick Pleasant Garden Chapel assisted the Street family with arrangements.
