Ora Parcell Belcher, 90, of 500 Deer Lane, Martinsville, died April 20, 2001, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.
She was born Nov. 13, 1910, in Franklin County, a daughter of the late Johnny Armstead Parcell and the late Fannie Matthews Parcell. She also was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Belcher Sr., and a sister, Kate Belcher.
She was a member of Chestnut Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Ruth Davidson of Martinsville; three sons, Donald Belcher of Snow Creek, John W. Belcher Jr. of Rocky Mount and William L. Belcher of Axton; a sister, Eva Belcher of Roanoke; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held 4 p.m. today at Norris Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Berlin Hanks officiating. Burial will be in the Belcher cemetery at Snow Creek Christian Church.
