Arthur W. White, 92, of Cottondale, Ala., formerly of Braggadocio, died Jan. 21 at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Born Oct. 7, 1891 near Winfield, Ala., he was the son of George and Sarah Catherine White. He was a retired farmer.
He is survived by five sons, Clayton and George Ruble White, both of Cottondale, Ala., Thurman White of Indianola, Miss., Wallace White of Turrell, Ark., and Fred White of Caruthersville; Two daughters, Mrs. Jackie Barnes of Caruthersville and Mrs. Rubenia Darnell of Cottondale, Ala.; Twenty-nine grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie B. Wakefield White.
Services were Jan. 22 at 2 p.m. at Hayes Funeral Home chapel in Tuscaloosa with burial in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were grandsons Danny Barnes, Lynn Thompson and Phillip, Dick, Neil and Ray White Jr.
