U.S. Congressman. Holding many Union offices for workers in Buffalo, New York, he was elected as a Republican to the Seventy-seventh Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Pius L. Schwert, reelected to the Seventy-eighth, Seventy-ninth and Eightieth Congresses, serving (1941-49). An unsuccessful candidate for reelection, he was sales manager of Fire Equipment Sales Company and estimator for Beacon Electrical Engineering and Construction Company. In 1951, he was elected to the Eighty-second Congress, serving until his death at age 66.
